Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2024

Survayy ("we", "our", "us") provides an easy to use, simple to understand, and fast-performing tool for our registered users ("Members") and non-members ("Visitors") to create and share surveys ("Services").

Services

We provide users with the ability to create, share, respond to, and view results for surveys. Additionally, users can register for an account to further customize their surveys.

Registration

To create an account you need to provide data including your username, email address, and password. This data is kept private and is not shared with anyone. During registration, you also set a display name, which is shared publicly on Survayy whenever you respond to someone else's survey or share a survey that you have created. Your display name can be changed later in Member Settings.

Time Zone

A Visitor's time zone is read from their browser's settings on the first page that they visit. This is used to properly display dates and times. This does not access your IP address. This data is only stored in the Visitor's session data and is cleared as soon as the browser is closed. When registering to become a Member, a Visitor's time zone will be set to the new Member's time zone preference, which can be changed in Member Settings.

Member Settings

Members can save additional preferences, such as changing their display name and password, updating their cookie preferences, notification preferences, and changing their preferred time zone for viewing dates and times. The only public data in Member Settings is the display name; all other data is not shared with anyone.

Survey Creation

When creating a survey you provide a title. For Standard surveys, you also provide a list of survey items. For Dynamic surveys, Members have the option to merge response items by providing a merge group. Survey creation data is visible to anyone that has access to your survey.

Survey Response

When responding to a survey, you provide a name to display with your response. For Dynamic surveys, you also provide response items. Response data is visible to the survey's creator and anyone with access to the survey's results.

Cookies

As further described in our Cookie Policy, we use cookies to help Survayy function properly, stay secure, improve user experience, and analyze website performance. Non-essential (not "Necessary") cookies are turned off by default and must be opted in to enable.

PayPal Payments

We use PayPal to process payments. If you wish to pay on our website, PayPal may collect the personal data you provide, such as payment and other identifying information. PayPal uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us and others, including for fraud detection, harm and loss prevention, authentication, analytics related to the performance of its services, and to comply with applicable legal requirements. The processing of this information will be subject to the PayPal Privacy Statement available at PayPal.com.

Google Analytics and AdSense

We use Google Analytics to monitor the performance of Survayy. We use Google AdSense to provide advertisements to our users. These services automatically send certain information to Google. This includes the URL of the page you're visiting and your IP address. As described in our Cookie Policy, these services may also set cookies on your browser or read cookies that are already there.
